No B2/Vellore BO dated at Pudukkottai 622 001, the 14.12.12..

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the post of G.D.S. Branch Postmaster, Vellore BO in account with Manamelkudi SO , under Pudukkottai HO. The post is reserved for SC .

2. The post carries an allowance in the scale of Rs.2745-50-4245 plus admissible Dearness allowances from time to time.

3. The applicant should have attained the age of 18 years on the last date fixed for receipt of application. He/she should not be above the age of 62 years.

4. Applicant should have passed SSLC or equivalent examination. The candidate should be able to read and write English and Tamil.

5. After selection, the applicant should reside in BO village and he/she should make his/her own arrangements for having the post office in a place easily accessible to all.

6.The applicants those who are LIC agents are not eligible for the post unless they give up the agency.

7.The candidate applying for the post will have to supplement his income from other employment sources so as to have an adequate means of livelihood to support himself and his family and the candidate has to give an undertaking to this effect.

8. Application should be submitted in the prescribed form (Specimen enclosed) and filled up only in the own handwriting of the applicant. The envelope containing the application should be superscribed on the top as “ Application for the post of GDSBPM, Vellore BO a/w Manamelkudi SO-614620” without fail.

9. The application should be submitted by Regd/AD or Speed Post only and addressed by name as “Smt. R. Selvarani, Supdt of Post offices, Pudukkottai Division, Pudukkottai -622001” . Please note : Courier post will not be accepted .

10. The last date for submission of prescribed application at this office is 14.01.2013.

11. Copies of the following documents duly attested by the Gazetted officer should be submitted with the application

a) Community certificate in the prescribed form (SC/ST/OBC candidates only) issued by the competent authority.

b) Certificate relating to Educational qualification.

c) Copy of first page of SSLC book or any other School Leaving document to prove the date of birth.

(d) Copy of SSLC mark sheet.

(e) Two conduct certificates one from the President of the village and the other from the respective person of the village.

12.Application received without the above supporting documents will not be entertained.

13.No correspondence from the candidate will be entertained in this connection.

14.Canvassing in any form will render the application liable for rejection.

TENDER NOTICE

SEALED TENDERS are invited from the owners of the building at TIRUGOKARNAM in the main road/nearer to main road, Tirugokarnam preferably in the ground floor for the use of TIRUGOKARNAM, a building with an area as shown below excluding courtyard and open space in front of the office for a period of 5 years from the date of occupation free of rates and taxes.

2. Tenderers should quote definite amount of rent per mensum in whole rupees required by them. No tender quoting as any rent deemed suitable for words to that effect will be considered. No advance amount will be paid by this department.

3. The owner of the building whose tender, it is finally decided to accept should be prepared to produce to the satisfaction of this department, documentary evidence of his or her title to the building to be leased out. Failure on his or her part in this respect will render the tender liable to be summarily rejected. The Department being free thereafter to accept the offer of any tenderer of landowner.

4. The building leased out shall during its occupation by the department be accessible to all members of the public using the Post Office.

5. Tenders must reach the undersigned on or before 31 .12.2012 [MONDAY] addressed by name to MS. R. Selvarani, Superintendent of Post Offices, Pudukkottai Division, Pudukkottai 622001 clearly super scribed as “Tender for the building to be leased out for Tirugokarnam Post Office”. Tender should be sent by Registered/ Speed Post only in a sealed cover. Tenders will not be accepted in person or through Couriers.

6. The tenders received will be opened by the undersigned at this office on
31.12.2012 at 16.00 hours in the presence of the tenderers as may wish to be present.

7. Any attempt of negotiation direct or indirect on the part of the tenderer with the undersigned after he or she has submitted his or her tender or any endeavour to secure any interest for an actual or prospective tenderers, or to influence by any means for acceptance of a particular tender, will render the tender liable for exclusion from consideration.

8. The undersigned does not bind him to accept the lowest tender and he reserves the right to accept or reject any tender without the assignment of a reason.

9. The successful tenderer will be called upon immediately to execute a lease in the prescribed form and get it registered at his own cost.

10. The tenderers should be prepared to provide separate latrine and urinal facilities to the staff, provide counters, embed the cash chest/cash safe and fix the letter box at their own cost. This should be specifically be mentioned in the schedule of repairs to be attached to the tender.

11. The tender forms can be obtained free of cost from the SPM, Tirugokarnam Post Office during the working hours.
